Abstract: The subject of this article is the interface between the Croatian prepositions na and u (as well as the interface between their Russian, Slovenian and Polish equivalents), and the meaning of the preposition nad and the relation of the meaning of the prepositions nad and na in the four languages. The meaning relation between the prepositions na and nad and their related prefixes is analysed as well.
