Searching for Bulgarian proverbs on the Web

Sažetak: The present study can be seen as the second stage of a larger research concerning the real proverb usage in contemporary written Bulgarian language. While the first survey aimed to determine the most frequently used proverbs in newspaper articles, the present study examines which Bulgarian proverbs occur on the Web and with what frequency. The results of the two separate studies showed similarities and helped to gain a better understanding of the current usage of proverbs in the modern Bulgarian language.
